Whether you own a retail store in the heart of the city, a dealership in the suburbs, or a home in Lutz, comprehensive security solutions are essential. CCTV security cameras are discreet, easy to maintain, and often more cost-effective than other security options. You can position CCTV cameras wherever you choose, and they do not necessitate extensive modifications to your home or existing commercial infrastructure.
While there are many CCTV camera systems to choose from, finding the right CCTV installation company in Winter Park, FL can be challenging. After all, you don't want just anybody to have access to your home or business. The topic of video surveillance can be controversial, particularly because of the ongoing privacy concerns looming over our nation. However, in today's social climate, the significance of commercial CCTV solutions cannot be underestimated, as they play a fundamental role in ensuring the safety of your assets and the people working for you. As a business owner, it's reasonable to be concerned about the physical well-being of your employees and the security of your commercial property, particularly if you own a business that promotes foot traffic and employs many workers.
CCTV monitoring is one of the most prevalent forms of surveillance today. There are over 25 million operational CCTV cameras globally, and experts estimate that about 67% of business burglaries could be prevented by implementing real-time security measures such as CCTV monitoring.

As a business leader or property manager, you know how important it is to protect the people and the properties in your care. With burglary and overall crime rates in Florida, having a modern, reliable CCTV security system is more than just smart. It's an investment in your livelihood and ability to provide for your family.
In the past, businesses had to designate a person to watch live video footage on-premises for security. But now, thanks to advanced technology, monitoring can be done remotely from a computer, mobile phone, or tablet. Business security camera setups can keep a 24/7 record of activities on a property, which is highly beneficial for businesses operating around the clock.
One of the biggest reasons to work with a CCTV installation company in Winter Park, FL is that they help reduce and eliminate crime from happening in your commercial building. Placing CCTV cameras strategically throughout your business's premises can help deter vandalism, break-ins, and other serious crimes. Recent retail studies show that small businesses can lose up to $50k annually due to these issues, particularly in high-crime areas. With over 275 million reported thefts in businesses worldwide, the installation of a CCTV monitoring system is crucial.
Another factor to consider is that non-retail businesses also face theft, including company property and intellectual property theft. In many cases, employees commit these thefts. When CCTV cameras are in the right spot, they can discourage such behavior, leading to a safer and more productive work environment.
CCTV video surveillance systems offer a cost-effective alternative to having security personnel stationed at your property. That's especially true in situations where human guards aren't needed, or in the case of a smaller business that needs reliable security on a budget. As an added bonus, modern systems - like those from Prime Protection and ADT - make use of increasingly compact and advanced cameras, making them as discreet and effective as they are affordable.
Having surveillance cameras can be highly beneficial if a crime occurs in or around your commercial property. The video footage from CCTV cameras can assist in identifying perpetrators and can be presented to management and law enforcement to pinpoint precise incident locations. Perhaps more importantly, CCTV footage can be used in court to provide crucial evidence if you end up in court.
Owning real estate is still one of the best ways to build wealth in America. Today, apartment complexes rank as one of the most popular ways to make a profit in the real estate industry. CCTV camera systems are essential for landlords, building managers, or anyone who owns or operates a multi-family complex. Because Apartment buildings have multiple entry points, shared common spaces, and parking facilities, security concerns are almost always present.
CCTV cameras are great for discouraging theft and can act as a deterrent for thieves. Keep in mind that if a camera is very visible, it's more likely to be tampered with or stolen before any crimes occur. For apartment complexes, it's important to have tamper-resistant security cameras to ensure uninterrupted footage when you need it. Monitored security cameras often use cloud storage to store live and past footage on a third-party server, so even if the physical camera is damaged, the footage remains safe.
If you own or are looking to invest in an apartment complex or multi-family residence, contact Prime Protection for expert CCTV installation. We'll work with you one-on-one to provide the best security camera solution for your needs. Once you settle on a camera system, our technicians will handle every aspect of installation. Only need to upgrade your cameras? Let's talk about modernizing your CCTV setup today.
The ideal security camera system for apartment complexes allows for faster reactions to attempted break-ins and urgent situations such as flooding and fires. For instance, if unauthorized individuals are trying to access a stairwell, a CCTV camera can notify security personnel so they can review the video and take necessary action or contact emergency services.
CCTV systems are very popular in office settings. At Prime Protection, we provide security camera installation for office buildings and campuses of all sizes. Here are just a few reasons why they're a worthwhile investment.
CCTV cameras subtly remind employees that while they are in a supportive environment, excellence and focus are expected. Having surveillance systems in place can foster an atmosphere of accountability, leading to personal and collective growth, ensuring that your team is always aligned with your business's goals
CCTV systems with integrated motion sensors can boost security during non-operational hours by promptly notifying the appropriate personnel of any suspicious activity. Additionally, strategically positioned cameras can promote professionalism and compliance with company regulations, fostering a safer and more respectful work environment for all.
CCTV cameras play a vital role in modern security within the logistics and storage industry. They are essential in ensuring the safety and security of warehouses and other storage facilities. Picture a large warehouse filled with valuable items; now, envision it as a fortress guarded by CCTV cameras. These cameras act as vigilant guards that monitor your assets 24/7.
Warehouse surveillance cameras can help address a number of unique safety and security concerns, including:
In logistics and supply chain management, theft is a significant issue, costing US businesses $15 -30 billion annually. Nearly 33% of 766 reported thefts in Q4 2023 occurred in warehouses, highlighting the prevalence of security risks. Installing visible security cameras inside and outside warehouses can deter criminal activity and provide evidence of suspicious behavior.
Remember the importance of accounting for internal theft, particularly in high-risk areas like storage and loading bays. Surveillance cameras provide continuous visibility and, when linked to alarms and motion sensors, help improve incident response times.
Theft can seriously hurt a retail store's success. No matter how secure you think your store is, there is always a chance that theft can happen. Having a CCTV system installed by a team of experts like Prime Protection is essential if you need to boost your security and improve loss prevention numbers. If you own a retail store, it's important to know the powerful benefits of CCTV cameras.
Retail stores often encounter incidents, whether it's a break-in, criminal activity, or innocent mistakes that result in damage. It's important for stores to have surveillance in place to capture evidence for insurance claims and to minimize costs. If incidents go unnoticed or unrecorded, your store may be held liable for any damage or injuries to customers or may have to cover the cost of damaged merchandise. However, having surveillance cameras allows store management to identify the responsible parties and avoid the hassle of paying compensation.
CCTV cameras can identify trends in your retail store, like revealing the average daily foot traffic on a given day. This information can help retail store owners anticipate and meet customer demand by adjusting supplies accordingly. Patterns such as increased store visits before holidays, festivals, or sporting events can be identified easily. You can also monitor customers and gain insights into their buying habits using CCTV monitors, enabling you to adjust customer service initiatives accordingly.
As a business leader or property manager, you know how important it is to protect the people and the properties in your care. With burglary and overall crime rates in Florida, having a modern, reliable CCTV security system is more than just smart. It's an investment in your livelihood and ability to provide for your family.
When choosing a security provider, research their reputation, ask for references, and check online reviews. In short, go for an established company with a great service history that can meet your needs at a cost you can afford.
Many home and business owners need a comprehensive security solution that involves more than CCTV cameras. Look for a company that offers services and products like ADT monitored alarm systems, fire panel monitoring, elevator monitoring, and interactive services tailored to your organization.
Before agreeing to a security system, be sure to understand the total cost, including monthly fees, start-up costs, and any contractual obligations. A trustworthy CCTV installer should provide a detailed estimate and explain all expenses. If you encounter hidden costs or fees, it's a red flag.
Before choosing a security provider, it's important to do some research. Make sure that they are properly licensed and recognized as a reputable company. Online ratings can provide valuable insight into a company's reputation and business practices. Since your security provider will have access to your business information, it's important to ask detailed questions about their employee selection process and the type of background checks they conduct before hiring. A little due diligence can go a long way.
Still unsure of which CCTV installer to choose? At Prime Protection, we epitomize the qualities above and make it a point to provide thorough, reliable security camera installation options for businesses and homeowners in Florida.

Winter Park, FL (May 8, 2025) – A vehicle crash resulting in injuries was reported Thursday along the 6400 block of University Blvd in Winter Park. The incident occurred near 6425 University Blvd, prompting a swift response from local emergency medical personnel.
Initial reports indicate that at least one person sustained injuries in the crash, which unfolded in a busy area known for both commuter and residential traffic. Though dispatch and arrival times were not disclosed, the Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that emergency services responded promptly to the scene.
Instead of blocking traffic, the crash occurred in a way that allowed the roadway to remain open, helping to minimize disruption to nearby residents and drivers. While the specific number of people injured has not been confirmed, paramedics evaluated and treated victims on-site, providing necessary care for a variety of injuries sustained in the collision.
The exact cause of the crash is under investigation. Law enforcement is currently collecting details, including potential contributing factors such as driver distraction or failure to yield. No arrests or citations have been announced at this time.
Our sincere thoughts go out to those injured in this crash. We hope for a swift and full recovery, and we urge all drivers in Winter Park to remain alert, especially in high-traffic corridors like University Blvd.
University Blvd in Winter Park is a well-traveled corridor that experiences high vehicle volume throughout the day, particularly due to its proximity to commercial centers, schools, and residential neighborhoods. Crashes along stretches like this are not uncommon and often stem from driver inattention, unexpected lane changes, or congested traffic flow.
Today’s incident—while not involving a roadblock—still illustrates the serious consequences even a single crash can have on those involved. Urban roadways, despite being lower-speed than highways, come with their own risks due to frequent stops, pedestrian activity, and a mix of vehicle types including delivery trucks and commuters.
In many similar cases, crash victims may face challenges beyond the initial injuries: transportation disruptions, follow-up medical appointments, and emotional stress from the collision itself. Access to professional support and accurate information becomes a crucial part of the recovery process.
Winter Park’s safety initiatives and traffic planning continue to evolve, but events like this highlight the ongoing need for responsible driving behavior and awareness—especially on major urban streets. As law enforcement investigates the factors behind today’s crash, local drivers are reminded of the importance of defensive driving and yielding appropriately at intersections and driveways.
If you or someone you care about has been injured in a crash on University Blvd or elsewhere in Winter Park, take the time to learn about your recovery options. At Local Accident Reports, we work to keep the public informed and connected with the resources they need to heal, recover, and move forward. Contact Local Accident Reports today for access to medical support networks, legal guidance, and more—because you shouldn’t have to face this journey alone.

Basements are rare in Florida. A 6,200-square-foot basement with an 18-car underground garage reached by a cleverly disguised car elevator? Well … that’s a showstopper.
Such audacious design touches are why the National Association of Home Builders chose the 15,176-square-foot estate now under construction on Winter Park’s Lake Osceola as its showcase home for the 2026 International Builders’ Show.
Alair Homes Orlando is building the 43rd edition of the association’s centerpiece The New American Home, and the last in Orlando. The annual builder’s show will relocate permanently to Las Vegas in 2027.

These homes are usually built on spec by local high-end home builders, then sold after the convention. But this year’s New American Home is being constructed for a private owner with a specific mission.
Jason Eichenholz, a serial entrepreneur, philanthropist and CEO of Relativity Networks, bought the 3/4-acre lot on Sylvan Drive through a family trust in 2021 for $2.8 million.
Known for supporting individuals with autism — an effort inspired by his son, Jonathan — Eichenholz is using the house in part to support Jonathan’s Landing Foundation, which seeks to create housing for 500 people and 5,000 jobs to help adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Eichenholz will match the value of every contribution to the house from manufacturers and suppliers with his own contribution to the foundation, an amount the home builders association forecasts to total $2-3 million.
“This home isn’t just a showcase of the future of home building — it’s a symbol of what’s possible when passion, philanthropy and innovation come together,” Eichenholz said.

Alair partner Daniel Kennerly said the philanthropic intention sealed the deal for the project to be selected as The New American Home. “His goal in designing his house was not just to design a house that he would really enjoy, that would be fun to live in, and you know, look at all my money kind of thing,” he said. “He actually wanted to design a house that could be used in the future for fundraising, and he designed the whole house with the idea of fundraising in mind.”
The basement doubles as a meeting space that accommodates up to 100 people. The library just off the foyer serves as a board room. The house also features a catering kitchen with a private entrance and bar for large events.
“Jason’s desire is that once a month, or every other month, the house would be used by other nonprofits, and instead of them paying him to use the space, they would give a donation to Jonathan’s Landing,” Kennerly said.
The private residence will feature:
Alair Partner Jim Krantz also has a personal connection to the project. “As a father of a son with autism, this project means everything,” he said. “My son, Luke, and Jonathan are friends and have been classmates for more than a decade, and knowing that Jonathan’s Landing provides a place for adults like them to thrive with dignity brings me hope.”
Kennerly said the final design was a collaboration between the client, architect Michael Wenrich and the builder. The inspiration for a car elevator came out of a brainstorming session — they were looking for a way to access the basement that didn’t involve a ramp, because they couldn’t design one with a slope that wouldn’t scrape the bottom of the sports cars.
“And I don’t know if anybody remembers whose idea it was because we were talking about 100 things that day, and someone said, ‘Can this be done?’” Kennerly said. “We had to figure out a solution to get the 18 cars into the basement without a driveway, and the car elevator was born.”
Kennerly sourced the equipment from a vendor in California, who disguised the lifting mechanism as a grass parking space in front of the house. He consulted with builders from Michigan and Wisconsin for tips on basement construction and how to waterproof the space.
“We don’t really build underground basements in Florida, and so there’s not a lot of code written for it,” he explained.
Construction started nine months ago. Kennerly said the framing is underway, and the roof trusses will be installed this week.
The development team will document the construction process over the next 10 months on the NAHB website, and the home will be unveiled next year during the International Builders’ Show (IBS), Feb. 17-19, 2026, where it will be open for tours by IBS attendees and media.

On a lovely Sunday morning, I strolled through the enchanting Kraft Azalea Garden in Winter Park. My heart swelled with joy after every stride, soaking up views of Lake Maitland while meandering along picture-perfect manicured lawns dotted with cypress trees dripping with Spanish Moss.
As I stood in awe, admiring the Exedra, an ancient Roman-style curved pavilion, an unfamiliar voice drifted into the moment. “Isn’t it gorgeous?” I turned and locked eyes with the stranger and agreed that the gazebo overlooking the serene lake is one of the most beautiful scenes in Central Florida. With a crisp breeze whispering through the air and the sound of nesting egrets in the distance, this dreamy stroll reminded me why I adore the charming town of Winter Park, Florida.
Welcome to Winter Park, a gorgeous lakeside community five miles north of downtown Orlando. This city of 30,000 residents is known as the “premier urban village in the Sunshine State” for its cultural diversity, immense natural beauty, walkable downtown, and old-world charm.
A leisurely walk along Park Avenue, the cobblestone, tree-lined “Main Street,” transports you to a small European village with timeless elegance. The town is brimming with upscale boutiques, delightful cafes and bistros, museums, and breathtaking natural landscapes. On weekends, you’ll be greeted with a vibrant brunch crowd, locals walking their dogs, tourists perusing the corridors to explore the many shops, and families spending quality time inside Central Park.
Not far from the bustling downtown district is a series of six lakes—the Chain of Lakes—connected by a network of Venetian-style canals. The scenic waterways are a wonderland for paddlers and a portal for daily boat tours that take guests on a sightseeing journey to learn the history of this gorgeous urban oasis.
History awaits around every turn as you wander through neighborhoods with European-style homes donned with century-old oak trees and lush, manicured gardens. Moreover, museums, antique shops, and art galleries are plentiful here, and the historical landmarks and gorgeous architecture will entice the history lover in you. What’s more, Winter Park is home to the iconic Rollins College, the oldest private college in Florida. The lakeside campus with brick walkways, picturesque courtyards, Mediterranean Revival buildings, and historic charm is an extension of the Old World community.
With all the sights and sounds of Winter Park, there is something for everyone to love about this hidden gem village near Orlando.
True to its name, Winter Park was founded in 1887 as a resort community for snowbirds to escape the brutal winters. Originally called Lakeview in 1858 and later Osceola in 1870, the founders, Loring Chase and Oliver Chapman, developed the community into an aesthetically beautiful haven.
The construction of a railroad line between Sanford and Orlando led to the first Winter Park Depot in the early 1880s. Due to its tremendous success, the city experienced a population boom, attracting wealthy Northerners, and increased tourism in the area. A new station was built in 2014, serving local SunRail commuters and Amtrak passengers. I have never ridden the SunRail train, but it’s an inexpensive way to access the city if you prefer to leave your car at home.
One of the best ways to learn the history of this charming European-style community is on the Scenic Boat Tour. The one-hour cruise takes you on a journey through the history of Winter Park. You’ll travel across three tranquil lakes and glide through connecting canals. Witness sprawling lakefront estates, century-old oaks and cypress trees, and a plethora of wildlife in the area. This guided tour is the most popular attraction in Winter Park, and I highly recommend it.
Aside from the boat tour, get acquainted with the city by checking out the downtown district and local attractions! For Winter Park, this means spending Saturday mornings at the Winter Park Farmers’ Market. Here, I enjoy shopping for locally made goodies and freshly cut flowers for a picnic in a nearby park. Don’t leave without getting a bag of kettle corn, it’s a must-have treat at the market.
Speaking of parks, the city has several noteworthy parks offering unique and beautiful natural environments. For peaceful strolls through tranquil gardens of blooming azaleas and scenic waterways, Mead Botanical Gardens and Kraft Azalea Garden are at the top of my list.
Central Park, located in the heart of the urban village, features paved walkways, natural spaces with flowing fountains, and a lovely rose garden. Families can take a break here after walking through the village or enjoy a quick snack under the sprawling oak trees. With direct views of the bustling shopping district, I especially like "people-watching" from the park and viewing the trains as they enter the depot.
If you’re seeking retail therapy, you can easily find unique items inside the upscale boutiques, specialty shops, and antique stores. Book lovers: Writer's Block Bookstore is the place for you. This indie bookstore’s mission is to be part of the community and contribute to culture and the arts and literature and reading, and it has remained true to its goal for over 10 years now.
Adventurers and water enthusiasts carve out time in your day for this unforgettable kayaking adventure in Winter Park. As you drift through the Venetian-style canals, you’ll discover what makes this charming village so unique and special.
The food scene in Winter Park is unmatched! Weekend brunches include crowds of patrons seated outside at Briarpatch, one of the most iconic restaurants in town. Their use of fresh seasonal ingredients to craft their menu is why diners keep returning for more. There are also cute little cafes, coffee shops, and bubble tea shops along the avenue that are worth visiting. Outside of the downtown district on Fairbanks Ave is arguably one of the best restaurants in Orlando: The Ravenous Pig. I love the atmosphere of this gastropub, and the Mahi sandwich with truffle fries always keeps my taste buds dancing with joy.
There is so much more to do and see in this urban escape, including visiting the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum, featuring the largest collection of Tiffany glass worldwide. Nature and art come alive at the Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens, and you will be mesmerized after your tour. Shopping at Winter Park Village is a must, and a drive through Hannibal Square will take you through one of the oldest neighborhoods in Winter Park.
With its historic charm, natural beauty, museums, and incredible dining and shopping options, Winter Park is the true magic of Central Florida. This posh village is perfect for a day trip in Florida, whether you live in or you're visiting the Orlando Metro area. And chances are, you’ll be inspired to visit soon.
