Learn More About the Top Home Security Company in Wellington, FL

If there's one thing that homeowners in Wellington can agree on, it's that security and safety risks are part of life. You assume some risk - even if it's small - every time you walk out of your front door. Fortunately, there are many procedures and processes in place to protect us from being victims of crimes, especially in public areas like grocery stores. But what about when we're at home? According to the FBI, property crime accounts for more than 85% of all crime in the U.S. In fact, almost 4.8 million cases of property crime were reported in 2021 alone, with 50% of people reporting that they believe a property crime could happen to them.

If you live in Wellington, chances are you've heard of or know someone personally who has been affected by a break-in or robbery. Property crimes and package theft are higher than the national average, at 53% and 61% respectively. Could you imagine coming home from dinner out with your family, only to see your front door smashed in and your belongings gone? Of course, being the victim of a home break-in is about more than disposable items like TVs and electronics. When the sacred space of your home is violated, you lose peace of mind. What's stopping the criminals from coming back and robbing your home again? Will they tell other criminals that your home is an easy target? Will your children be able to sleep at night knowing that their home has been broken into?

If you're like other Wellington homeowners and believe that peace of mind and safety is priceless, ask yourself this: "What am I doing to make sure my home is protected from burglars?" For most, the answer to that question begins by installing a home security system in Wellington, FL. When you have a burglar alarm installed, you'll have more peace of mind at home or when you're away, knowing that a home security system company like Prime Protection has got your back.

Why Should I Invest in a Home Security System in Wellington, FL?

Whether you live in a gated community miles from a metropolitan area or you enjoy the hustle and bustle of the big city, having a home alarm system is a smart investment. Modern home security systems do more than sound an alarm if someone breaks in - they can include home automation features that make your life easier and can even help reduce energy consumption. But that's just the start. Let's take a look at some of the biggest reasons why you should consider investing in a burglar alarm for your home in Wellington.

 ADT Alarm System Wellington, FL

The top reason to buy a security system for your home is for the protection it provides. From home intrusions and burglaries to fires and even natural disasters, today's residential home monitoring systems work even when you're not there. They can also help in the event of a medical emergency. Buying a robust alarm or camera system for security is an investment.

However, when you discover that the average burglary costs homeowners more than $2,600 per victim (according to the FBI), the cost starts to make a lot of sense. When you're the victim of a home break-in, the damage goes beyond fiscal. There's long-lasting psychological damage that occurs, too, and having a home security system can help prevent that trauma.

 ADT Security Systems Wellington, FL

Research conducted by Professor Joe Kuhns of the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at UNC Charlotte found that nearly 60% of burglars planned their break-ins less than 24 hours before attempting them. Additionally, 83% of burglars surveyed reported that they looked for signs of an alarm system, and over half of them stated that they would abandon their plans if they saw one. This research underscores the effectiveness of visible alarm system indicators such as ADT stickers, yard signs, and outdoor cameras in deterring potential burglars, as their crimes are often opportunistic in nature.

 Smart Home Systems Wellington, FL

By installing a home security system, you can have peace of mind, knowing that your home is protected whether you're away or asleep. Plus, modern wireless security systems from ADT that are connected to the internet also allow you to check on your home from anywhere in the world. So, if you're on a business trip in Dubai and want to check on your home, you can do so in a moment's time.

 ADT Home Automation Wellington, FL

When you have a professionally installed home alarm system from a company like Prime Protection, many home insurance companies offer you a discount on the price of your premium. More substantial discounts typically apply to systems that include environmental monitoring for smoke, water damage, fire, and intrusion monitoring. While a discount on your home insurance may not cover the total home security camera system in Wellington, FL, it can make having one more affordable over time. Plus, if you need to file an insurance claim for a break-in or other event, having high-def, reliable video footage can be incredibly beneficial.

Many wireless home security systems from ADT work with a smartphone app. This makes keeping up with your pets and family much easier. For example, motion and door sensors will alert you if someone is sneaking around your property. But they can also alert you when your child walks in the front door after school, if an older adult in your home gets out of bed.

Tiger Woods' PopStroke, the popular golf entertainment destination, is expanding its footprint across Palm Beach County, bringing a fusion of golf, gourmet food and family-friendly ambiance to three local communities.

With its innovative approach to combining miniature golf with top-notch cuisine, PopStroke has quickly become a favorite destination for local residents and tourists alike. The forthcoming locations in Palm Beach County promise to deliver the same winning formula, offering residents convenient access to this leisure experience.

Whether it's indulging in delectable bites crafted by expert chefs, enjoying a round of competitive mini-golf, or simply basking in the vibrant atmosphere with friends and family, PopStroke caters to all ages and interests. As anticipation builds for the grand openings of these new venues, Palm Beach County residents await the opportunity to immerse themselves in the entertainment that Popstroke has to offer, promising unforgettable experiences and cherished memories for years to come.

Here's a look at the PopStroke locations in Palm Beach County.

PopStroke - Delray Beach

The Delray Beach version of PopStroke miniature golf opened on Nov. 8, 2023.

Founded in 2018, the Jupiter-based business is a technology-infused sleek putting course, offering visitors “experiential golf.” Investor Tiger Woods is to thank for that, and golf company TaylorMade.

Two 18-hole putting courses are featured at each PopStroke location. They’re built entirely with synthetic turf. They incorporate fairways, bunkers and rough, though.

The Delray Beach location is the first of three locations coming to Palm Beach County.

PopStroke - Coming soon: West Palm Beach

When visitors fly into Palm Beach International Airport, they'll soon get an initial taste of why Palm Beach County is considered by many to be the golf capital of the world.

Within the past few years, two impressive golf-related venues have been rolled out within five minutes of the airport — The Park, a redesigned, 192-acre public golf course at 7301 Georgia Ave. that is already ranked among the best in the state and Drive Shack, a three-story driving range and sports and entertainment venue that sits on 12 acres next to the airport.

A third is coming soon. On Monday, March 25, officials held the groundbreaking and unveiling of renderings of the Tiger Woods-backed PopStroke Palm Beach, the latest location that will be built on airport property at the southwestern intersection of Australian Avenue and Belvedere Road.

PopStroke - Wellington proposed plan

PopStroke may soon be coming to Wellington, too.

The developer of the Lotis complexes expects to feature PopStroke, Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant and the canine-friendly Lazy Dog cafe among its mix of retail stores, restaurants, offices and entertainment venues.

The projects, Lotis I and II, will be on the west side of State Road 7, just of Wellington Regional Medical Center and the Mall at Wellington Green.

Here is more general information on PopStroke:

What is PopStroke golf?

Think of a family-friendly activity, such as mini-golf, then cram technology, bars, food, play areas and even an ice cream parlor into the mix. Top it all off with a professionally-designed putting course, and you have a sports, entertainment and food venue designed to appeal to all ages.

Does Tiger Woods own PopStroke?

PopStroke was founded by Greg Bartoli, a former Wall Street banker, who moved to Florida several years ago. Bartoli quickly became a mini-golf aficionado and developed the Lighthouse Cove Adventure Golf course, which has two locations in Jupiter. But Bartoli said he still yearned for a golf venue where he could bring his three children and enjoy some adult me-time.

Bartoli opened PopStroke's first location in Port St. Lucie in 2019, then brought on Tiger Woods, who lives in Jupiter Island, as a co-owner in 2020. Woods' TGR Design redid the Port St. Lucie course.

So far this year, Publix Super Markets has taken Florida by storm — opening a dozen new stores across the state since January — including Thursday’s grand opening of its newest store at Wellington Green Square in Wellington, Florida.

The new 38,127-square-foot store is at 10640 Forest Hill Blvd. and offers departments for grocery, dairy, frozen food, seafood, meat and fresh produce, as well as a full-service bakery, deli and pharmacy area.

Publix spokesperson Lindsey Willis said they are excited to welcome customers to their new store at Wellington Green Square, and “look forward to providing them with the premier service and quality Publix is known for.”

“We do have reusable bags customers will receive at check out and some product sampling throughout the store,” Willis said. “There is a large grab-and-go section for those looking to pick up a quick lunch or dinner on the go. The deli also offers an international selection of olives, antipastos, hummus and artisan cheeses from the United States and around the world.”

Publix currently manages a network of 1,373 stores in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and Kentucky.

Florida is home to 925 stores, and so far this year, 12 more already have popped up across the Sunshine State.

Most recently, on April 4, Publix opened a new store at Valencia Center, it’s fifth location in Homestead — and the same day, opened another 48,387-square-foot store in Sarasota. On March 7, Publix unveiled its newest multilevel model in Orlando, Florida, at the Shoppes at Storey Park.

On Feb. 15, a new Publix opened in the Tradewinds Plaza at 101499 Overseas Highway in Key Largo — and on Feb. 8, Publix doubled down with the grand opening of two Florida supermarkets on the same day — in Boynton Beach and Fort Myers.

Publix, which was recently recognized on Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies list for 2024, boasts a workforce of over 250,000 associates, making it the largest employee-owned company in the United States.

To apply for a position at Publix, visit the application page where you can create an account and select your job interests.

Food service experience is required for some roles and preferred for others — but hiring managers mainly are seeking friendly people who are good at customer service. Applicants must be at least 18 years old to work in the meat, deli or pharmacy departments and at least 16 to work in the grocery stocking, produce or bakery departments.

WELLINGTON — Two-term council member Michael Napoleone is Wellington's new mayor after defeating newcomer Bart Novak in the village election Tuesday, according to preliminary results from Palm Beach County's Supervisor of Elections.

Napoleone, a lawyer and a village resident for more than 20 years, received almost 80% of the votes in the Tuesday, March 19, election. He will succeed longtime mayor Anne Gerwig, who left office because of term limits.

"I am honored and grateful that our residents put their faith and trust in me to help lead Wellington forward as their next mayor," Napoleone said.

"The future of Wellington is bright."

A majority of voters also approved the annexing 257 acres of unincorporated land along Southern Boulevard and Seminole Pratt Whitney Road into the village. The annexation marks the first time Wellington's boundaries will ever extended north of Southern Boulevard.
